Eneko Lisboa Basque Experience – 1 Michelin Star

Executive chef Eneko Atxa and the team of Eneko Lisboa prepare innovative Basque dishes in a new, unexpected style at a very high standard. Due to the highly interactive concept, the experience can be enjoyed alone, with a companion, and even with children. Upon entering the restaurant, you are greeted by a dedicated host and escorted to a separate mysterious room to begin the culinary experience. 

The kitchen style can be described as modern with a creative flare; within every single dish, there is a genuine Basque connection with a slight Portuguese touch. The ambiance of the main dining space is very romantic and mysterious but, at the same time, welcoming. Eneko is located in an industrial district near the neighborhood of Ajuda. One would never expect to stumble upon a restaurant of this caliber down an alley, but life never ceases to surprise you. My single table had a fabulous view of the kitchen. I observed the whole coordinated spectacle behind this beautiful restaurant and the delicious dishes. My selected menu for that evening was the most extensive option featuring 11 unique dishes with unforgettable flavor. 

Takeaway: Eneko is recommended for couples interested in having a romantic date night without having to compromise the quality of a meal. The service was phenomenal, and it is definitely worth a visit.
